Popular Japanese Restaurant Opens New Location In Westchester

OKO restaurant serves up fresh, seasonal and Japanese-inspired dishes in its new downtown Rye location.

The Japanese-style eatery, which was first opened in Westport, specializes in providing an authentic culinary experience in a modern and lively atmosphere. Chef Brian Lewis is known for his prowess of Japanese ingredients and cooking methods.

On OKO’s menu, you’ll find a plethora of fresh and authentic Japanese dishes, including:

  • Chawanmushi (warm egg and dashi custard, king crab and scallion)
  • Shiitake Mushroom Yakitori (strawberry umeboshi, lardo and gomashio)
  • OKOnomiyaki (pork belly, sunny egg, Mayu mayo, nori and scallion)

A wide array of fresh hand-rolled sushi, bento boxes and vegetable tempura are also available.

OKO in Rye had its grand opening on Wednesday, Dec. 18. Reviews praising the restaurant’s variety, authenticity and overall quality have already begun trickling onto its Facebook page.
